With some exceptions, individual chapters within edited volumes of essays are not listed separately unless specifically cited in the text. ![]() The emphasis is on works on English but select works in other languages, especially German, French and Italian have also been included for those wishing to follow up topics in further detail however the reader should note that for every foreign language work listed many more have been left out. The bibliography lists ethnohistorical works not commonly included in bibliographies of historiography. ![]() It has been revised and more than doubled in length since then, but even so is still a “select” bibliography.
